25 sports stadiums to come up in district Moga

Moga, September 29 (Jagraj Gill & Manpreet Moga) – The Punjab Government under the Mission Tandarust Punjab is constructing 750 sports stadiums across the state.  Under which 25 sports stadiums would also be constructed in different villages of district Moga.  The scheme for the construction of these sports stadiums would be launched by the Punjab Chief Minister Capt. Amarinder Singh on October 2.  In the first phase, 150 sports stadiums are being constructed in the state and 5 in district Moga.
 Disclosing this here today, Deputy Commissioner Mr Sandeep Hans said that this launch would be done through video conferencing just like Smart Phone and Smart Ration Card Scheme.  The scheme will be launched in the presence of Panchayats and prominent people in the villages where new sports stadiums are to be constructed.  During these ceremonies, all the instructions issued to prevent the spread of COVID 19 will be followed.
Deputy Commissioner said that in the villages where the foundation stone of sports stadiums is to be laid on October 2, the villages are Jita Singh Wala (Block Baghapurana), Tota Singh Wala (Block Kot Ise Khan), Ramuwala Harchoka (Block Moga  1), Khosa Pando (Block Moga 2) and Rounta (Block Nihal Singh Wala).  The stadiums would be set up at Ramuwala Harchoka and Khosa Pando in 4-4 acres while in villages Jita Singh Wala, Tota Singh Wala, and Rounta in 1-1 acre.  These sports stadiums will cost around Rs 57.17 lakh.  He said that the work of these sports stadiums had already been started and it was in full swing.
 Mr. Hans said that the full implementation of this scheme would increase the enthusiasm of the youth towards sports in the district of Moga, especially in the rural areas.  He appealed to the village panchayats and the people to cooperate in the construction of these sports stadiums and asked the youth to take full advantage of these sports stadiums.  Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Mr. Subhash Chandra was also present on the occasion.
