Dreaded gangster and sharpshooter Harmanjeet Singh alias Harman Bhau falls into Moga Police’s net

Moga, 23 October (Jagraj Gill)-With the arrest of Harmanjit Singh alias Harman Bhau son of Jaswant Singh resident of Cheema, PS Sadar Patti, District Tarn Taran, in FIR No. 96 dated 23.10.20 u/s 22 NDPS and 25,27 Arms Act, PS Mehna, all hitmen of an Inter-state and Inter-district gang have been arrested. Two of his associates, who are also highly notorious criminals, had been arrested earlier viz. Ajay Kumar alias Mani son of Manjitpal Singh resident of Kotkapura and Amritpal Singh @Bhinder son of Jagjit Singh resident of Bhinder Kalan, Moga. In the said case, 2000 narcotic tablets Tramadol SR along with a 12 bore weapon with 6 live cartridges have been recovered from Harman Bhau. These gangsters were collectively involved in several cases of highway robberies, attempt to murder for ransom, Gang war, and snatchings, etc.

While giving this information, Mr. Harmanbir Singh Gill Senior Superintendent of Police Moga said that Harmanjit Singh alias Harman Bhau who is the main hitman and sharpshooter of the gang was a notorious gangster who was wanted in 10 FIRs as mentioned below. He is being interrogated with an intent to ascertain various crimes he had committed in the past and also the source from where he had procured the weapons to commit those crimes. So far, a Fortuner car which was snatched on gunpoint from Panchkula and a 12 bore gun which he snatched from a hospital guard in Kotakpura, have been recovered from him. Further interrogation is likely to lead to more recovery and arrests of his associates in the coming days.
